Special thanks to Steve Siegel and everyone from Swimfriends! Based in Tokyo Japan, Swimfriends supports a worldwide outreach to the swimming community. This pool was opened by ASL, Jetwing and SOS Velsen, following the Indian Ocean Tsunami in 2004. During a visit to Sri Lanka in January, Steve donated a range of much-needed items for our Lighthouse Community Pool project. Children participating in the free school holiday program were delighted with his visit and to have the chance to immediately enjoy many of the items received. Our thoughts are with the people of Japan who have been affected by the devastating earthquake and tsunami in March 2011.
